  • February 10, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  Judy Cohen (A Cry in Unison)

          The Azrieli Foundation is organizing a Zoom event with Judy Cohen for Trent University students and the Beth Israel Synagogue members.  Judy’s account of her Holocaust experiences is entitled:  A Cry in Unison.  More details about her memoirs and the Azrieli Foundation can be found at this link.  Judy, in addition to talking about her Holocaust experiences and tireless Holocaust education efforts will be answering questions from the students of Professor Carolyn Kay’s history class.    BIS members will have a chance to ask questions also.  Please return to this page for further details about this event and how you can attend.

  • April 6th:  Max Eisen (By Chance Alone)

           This will be a Zoom meeting with Max Eisen, a Holocaust survivor whose account of his experiences is entitled:  By Chance Alone:  A Remarkable True Story of Courage and Survival at Auschwitz.   This book won the CBC Canada Reads 2019.  More details about By Chance Alone at this link

We have been fortunate to hear Max relate his story on a number of occasions both at Trent University and Beth Israel Synagogue.  His tireless efforts on behalf of Holocaust education are world renowned.  More details to follow about the timing and how you can attend.
